iPad 2

So Apple sold out of the new iPad 2 within hours of the release...
I know many people who bought the first iPad and they all love it. It is now proven to be a game changer, and the begining of the end of laptops. Soon nobody will carry big bulky laptops (never thought we would call laptops bulky) but instead just an iPad and some cables....
What are your thoughts?

I'm waiting on Dell to have a similar product. Maybe soon.

Steve Jobs and Apple are marketing geniuses. How else can you explain the tremendous success of an oversized Iphone?

Dear,

Have a nice day! Our facebook has a good news. If some one like our facebook, she can get a pair of tights only for $1.99 this week. The price will rise $1 a week, until it is $9.99. This is for facebook fans only, one person, one pair! It is really inspiring, right?

If you like it, pls. share it with your friends, thanks!

I don't think it's the beginning of the end of laptops. The ol desktops are still here even after the evolution of more powerful laptops. But perhaps the iPad and other similar tablets serve a different purpose. I'd certainly want one of those.

I think that iPad occupies a completely different niche: it is mainly for consuming content, the virtual keyboard is much less convenient than the real one, and you have much less freedom in producing content. iPad is a mobile device connected to the Internet and an universal platform for exchanging content which gives users more quality and consistency and gives vendors more control over the content and the users. The main value of iPad is not the device itself, but the platform that is associated with it. But personally I would opt for something more open (maybe having an Android installed).

iPad is not a replacement for laptops and will never be. It is like having a bike for going to work (which may be more convenient than a large truck for this purpose) and then saying that you can actually deliver any freight by bike to any location and there is no need in trucks anymore.

Love the i-pad, total game changer but still a place for laptops.
