If lacrosse is reason, than Baltimore definitely needs to be on the list.
Agree on Baltimore due to the lacrosse quotient. Even though Balti is not prep through and through, suburban towns like Ruxton, Lutherville, Monkton, Fallston, Severna Park, etc are very prep. You also get a sailing quotient in there as you head towards the Chesapeake Bay towns.
Important notes on a good prep town: needs a yacht club or hunt/polo club. It seems like every town has a decent golf/CC, so a prep town must have a very very good country club.

w&l and trinity are definitely preppy. i'll be starting trinity in about a week and am very excited!
Hingham is very prep. Great sailing, hockey and lacrosse. Good yacht club. High-end prep stores like Lilly Pulitzer, J McLaughlin and Talbots (the latter was founded in Hingham). Well-maintained downtown with a lot of history. Great place. Neighboring Cohasset is great too...although a bit smaller and less shopping. Still good prep feel.
middleburg, virginia is indubitably preppy. it's the steeplechasing capital of the united states, and the home of gold cup, of course.

im from darien ct. and i was just up visiting my cousins from woodstock, vt. i was extremely surprised to see as many pastels as fairfield! This is a very preppy town.

Great blog - I'm from Manchester-by-the-Sea. Great town with easy access to Boston and many notable Yacht, Hunt, and Country Clubs in surrounding towns. It is worth a visit, as well as some of the other Essex County towns.
Let's not forget about Marblehead, the Yachting Capital of the World!

Barrington, RI is very preppy. I love it here. Everyone is so kind here. The high school is wonderful, too.
Longmeadow, Mass. is very preppy. Bay Path is a wonderful college... all girls. Could that college be considered preppy??
DEFINATELY Manchester-By-The-Sea! I live there and I'm quite aware that i'm preppy, and even get some amusement out of it. The sailing, the golf, the private beaches, so preppy. Also I have to give a shout out to Hamilton and Wenham MA, they're basically Manchester except no ocean, and tons more horses. Myopia is the local country club, and is very exclusive. Also there's lots of lacrosse in that town.
I think Charleston,SC should most definitely be on this list. It is a town with lots of old money, tons of history, and everyone there wears Lilly. Though lacrosse is not big there(it is becoming more popular), sailing and other water sports are huge. Not to mention that practically everyone who lives there plays tennis.
Sorry but all you guys are posers... i am the real prep, i go to deerfield academy, play on the lacrosse team (almost always state champions), we a 70ft sailboat in marblehead, not to mention the laser performance sailboats we have for everyone in our family, we belong to brookline country club, and we live in brookline massachusettes (preppiest town on earth) ....GO BOSTON COLLEGE

Cohasset, MA is where its at. Parties, lax, money, hot girls, nice beaches.... can't get any better
Glastonbury, CT is where its at. Seventh graders wear $100+ Polo Sweaters. Everyone plays a sports and gets a scholarship to the best colleges. There are exactly 7 people that are not white in the whole town.
